Every doctor of chiropractic has completed 4,200 hours of classroom, laboratory and clinical experience in the areas of orthopedics, neurology, physiology, human anatomy, clinical diagnosis, diagnostic imaging, exercise, nutrition, rehabilitation and more. Most chiropractic students have an additional undergraduate bachelor’s degree in pre-med studies. This makes the education for doctors of chiropractic among the most stringent of any of the health care professions.

However, there are some variations between chiropractic colleges. Some have more emphasis on developing highly skilled adjusters and there are also differences between doctors of chiropractic and their desire to become proficiently skilled in their adjusting techniques. At Kehoe Family Chiropractic the doctors have invested further resources beyond what is standard in order to become skilled in the Gonstead technique.
