The need for spinal x-rays in young children are rare and are determined by several factors including age, history of trauma, current health status and the results of their spinal examination.
Kehoe Family Chiropractic does not x-ray women who are pregnant. Women who are pregnant will receive a spinal x-ray after the birth of their child.
The inherent risks of taking an x-ray (however small), is always considered. However, if the information gained from the radiological exam outweighs these risks, an x-ray will always be performed. To see is to know and to not see is to guess.
